Karmin
A vivid, fine-grained red granite with an intense carmine colour and strong decorative presence. Karmin is a red granite with a distinctly “warm” quality: its tone carries a subtle ruby-cherry nuance that distinguishes it from cooler or more orange-red granites. The fine grain ensures an even colour distribution across the entire surface — without large lighter or darker zones that might compromise the overall chromatic integrity.
On the polished surface, the colour of Karmin becomes particularly saturated and deep — as though illuminated from within. This effect is especially effective in monumental vertical applications: façades, monument bases and column cladding. In raw or thermally treated condition, the red tone softens and acquires a warm brick-cherry hue that integrates more naturally into landscape environments. The fine grain yields a perfectly even surface after polishing, which is especially important for engraving and inscriptions.
Density 2,690 kg/m³ and water absorption 0.22 %. Compressive strength 160 MPa; abrasion 0.27 g/cm² — among the lowest in the red granite category. Recommended for countertops, window sills, façades and monumental memorial pieces.
