Grey Ukraine
Ukraine’s most popular grey granite — a benchmark architectural material with a classic palette where fine white and black inclusions lend the surface refined depth. Grey Ukraine is the “correct” grey: neither warm nor cold, neither light nor dark, but even, neutral, a thoroughly architectural tone that pairs equally well with white, black, timber and metal. The fine black-and-white “pepper” is distributed uniformly across the entire surface, giving it a subtle textural density.
In its polished state, Grey Ukraine acquires a restrained silver sheen without excessive brightness — the surface reads as serious and authoritative. In flamed or sandblasted execution, the tone warms slightly, shifting toward a grey-pearl hue that reads well on open façades and landscape elements. Colour consistency from slab to slab is one of the defining advantages of the Pokostivske quarry: batches maintain a consistent tone even at large order volumes.
Density 2,730 kg/m³, water absorption 0.25–0.50 %. Compressive strength 200 MPa and an exceptional flexural strength of 92 MPa — the highest among the granites in this catalogue. Abrasion 0,54 g/cm². Ideal for memorial monuments, floor slabs, façades, paving and kerbing.
